Review of Children of the Corn (1984) by Lucas C — 01 May 2012

Is it terrible? No. Is the short story better? Much. Does it work on that drive-in cheesy level? Kinda. This is one of those movies that makes you wanna watch it again years afterwards, to see if it was really as bad (or in a few cases, as good) as you remember.

.. you want to give this movies a second chance... and then, for your troubles, you spend another hour and a half steeped in sub-mediocrity. However, the movie tries. The performances are earnest, the script hints at competence.

There's just not enough of something.
