Review of Children of the Corn (1984) by Orlando D — 16 Dec 2012
It seems like in the 80's their was an adaptation from a Stephen King novel or short story from the excellent(Stand By Me) to the downright awful(Maximum Overdrive, which King directed!) This is far from worst but not that great either.
Here, you have a young couple(convincingly played by Linda Hamilton and Peter Horton) who are driving across country who stumble across a small town and it's secrets that involve the children murdered the adults in the town for sacrifice for the demon called "He Who Walks Behind the Rows.
" The beginning has a seriously scary opener, and the ending I found not to be effective. it does have acreepy atomsphere to the film and it's well made but was not a fan of the ending but this is much better then the subsequent sequels that came out afterwards.
