Review of Children of the Corn (1984) by Rick Q — 20 May 2013
It mostly sucks, with some weird looking actors and wooden performances. I couldn't help but think of the Wicker Man throughout. There are a few interesting images and ideas in here, including the massacre in a diner that opens the movie, and the very premise of a demon running the town is one of those things that makes Stephen King's work so fun to get wrapped up in.
Yet the execution here is limp; whatever atmosphere and verve the story has is dissipated.
