Review of Children of Men (2006) by Shane D — 27 Dec 2013
This is a great film. Original, interesting and thrilling. Its obvious social commentary never gets too preachy, instead, it rollicks along from the slow paced dystopic overview of futuristic London via a detached Clive Owen, to an intriguing middle act featuring Julianne Moore and finally the seat of the edge final battle sequence.
Michael Caine is fantastic as Jasper too. It's a brilliant effort. A great science fiction classic that feels a little closer than is comfortable.
