Review of Children of Men (2006) by Darren M — 09 Nov 2018
A terribly interesting dystopia set in London in 2027, in which infertility threatens mankind with extinction and a former activist transports a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea. It is quite violent and everything happens so suddenly you have to keep track of every single minute.
Alfonso Cuaron and his incredible direction along with the help of, of course, Emmanuel Lubezki and his unique style of cinematography and his single-shot sequences, makes you feel as if you were living all those gut-wrenching scenes through the eyes of a character.
