Beautifully and intensely acted by Marlee Matlin who became the youngest Best Actress Oscar winner with her dà (C)but in this movie. William Hurt brings an understated performance that rivals his turn in "Broadcast News", and is Piper Laurie ever anything less than a delight to watch really?
Nonetheless, this movie isn't quite my cup of tea, but I wouldn't presume to advise anyone against it.
