Review of Children of a Lesser God (1986) by Mark V — 07 Aug 2011
The art of sign language, and the daily difficulty facing every person who has a hearing disability in the world are very evident in this movie. The magnificent cinematography, acting, directing, and screenplay say it all.
This film is amazing. Marlee Matlin in her breakout role steals the show as Sarah. William Hurt also keeps up with the spectacular acting on Matlin's part as a teacher at the school Sarah works out.
The epic love story goes through the evident ups and downs of all relationships, but in every single way, they are equal. This film is nothing short of a triumph.
