Review of Child 44 (2015) by Prentice S — 25 Sep 2015
"Child 44" is another film that was almost too boring to exist. Despite the star power (Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, and Noomi Rapace), the story of a serial killer in Soviet Russia proves too long and drawn out to really work, especially since the original version of the film already exists, in it's natural Russian.
The scenery is dull and, other than an opening chase scene, it drags massively. The rise and fall of Hardy's Leo Demidov is just boring- there's no other way to describe it.
