Review of Chicken Little (2005) by Elliott A — 16 Dec 2009
After calling it quits on 2D animation, Disney believed strongly that CG animation was the next best thing for the company and fun-family films. Chicken Little is Disney's 1st 3D, non-Pixar film that is suppose to set off another Disney Renaissance.
I'm sorry to say this flick is devoid of a coherent plot, character development, and a great story that makes me want to put it up there on the shelf of Disney's animated classics. If Disney plans to do 3D films, then they should do the above and not make a movie filled with pop culture references and jokes that go no where and have no relevance to the plot even though one didn't exist in this one.
Although not an epic fail, I give a nod to Disney for at least trying to make an adaptation of Chicken Little. Grade: D+.
