Review of Chicken Little (2005) by Jerome K — 11 Nov 2011

I was fortunate to watch this movie in 3-D. Fortunate because I probably would have given it a lower rating otherwise. The animation was top notch and the 3-D made it look really well done. Unfortunately, like many of the critics have said, you can tell non-Pixar Disney focused more on the look instead of the substance, as the plot was simple and oftentimes boring and hackneyed.

One of my friends actually fell asleep during the movie. Seriously, the story is something you'd expect to find in a 15 minute Saturday morning cartoon, not a blockbuster feature film. Will Disney ever be able to recapture the magic they had with movies like Aladdin and the Lion King? Not with this one they won't.
