Review of Chicken Little (1943) by Matthew G — 17 Nov 2012

No, this movie's not groundbreaking, and no, I don't find it horrible. I think it's a cute, charming film with pretty nice 3D visuals. The problem many may have had with Chicken Little was that it may have been a little TOO cute for its own good.

I liked it when I saw it in theatres, and I like it now. There are fun moments, and sometimes the lighting is so cleverly used to create a dark atmosphere (during the dark scene moments at least). The characters are likable, and it's a nice movie to look at, even though the animation is not all that great.

For being Disney's first 3D CGI movie without the aid of PIXAR, it's all right; not the best, but all right.
