Review of Chicken Little (1943) by Sam B — 29 Nov 2009
Ever since Dreamwork's success with Shrek, The brilliant minds of Disney thought it would be wise to abandon 2-D animation in favor of CG. This was their first little accident since the transfer. The movie tries but fails to follow the basic formula of a Shrek movie; Pop culture references, a compelling story, and intelligent humor.
Sadly, Chicken Little only followed the first step and basically carried the story from there. This is an illustration of Disney trying too hard to be something it wasn't. The lead and side characters are one dimensional, the jokes have no humor and the moral is pointless.
The only reason I'd suggest watching it is if you want to know how NOT to make a Disney movie.
