Review of Chicken Little (1943) by Grëg W — 26 Nov 2009
While some of this movie was funny, it ultimately ended up being kinda stupid and unfunny. the plot revolves around chicken little, a young chicken who is at odds against pretty much everything as he is tiny compared to everyone.
no one believes him when he witnesses aliens landing in his town, no has any faith in his ability to do anything, and he only has a couple friends who love him dearly. as the movie progresses, though, he earns the approval of many of the townspeople, including his father, and even has a movie made about him.
where this movie fails is the jokes, as it mixes adult jokes and kid jokes. the story is strictly limited to an audience of 12 and under in most of the film, but when they let the more adult jokes fly, I wonder if the kids would understand.
probably not. oh well. watch if you want.
