It isn't as bad as some people say. It is a perfectly harmless film, but it's nowhere near as good as the past Disney films from the 90s. It seems more like they tried going for the Shrek approach, make it CGI and have pop culture references.
It isn't really that bad, but it's gotten very formulated.
