Review of Chicken Little (1943) by Evan M — 16 Mar 2011
The story is horrendously cookie-cutter and it all feels like a terribly cheap ripoff of your typical mainstream animated kiddietoon. Indeed, the idea that Chicken Little is part of the same tradition as The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin is rather incredible. They are such very different films, with such very different levels of quality. That is not to suggest that I'm the biggest Disney fan or that I fulling buy into the 'canon' Disney is proposing, but Chicken Little is truly a mistake. A horrendously unfunny comedy with little adventure or even plain fun to its name.
1/5.
