Review of Chicago (2002) by Mauricio R — 13 Jul 2011
Amazing. Zellweger gives Roxie a kind of cute/vindictive quality, so in love with herself that we can only love her too. Zeta-Jones makes Velma such a glamorous, self-confident, yet so desperate starlet, it's just impossible to dislike.
And I think Richard Gere was just being Richard Gere, only with a chance to show he can tap. All in all, I think "Chicago" is terrific entertainment with great musical numbers.
