Review of Chicago (1927) by Angela L — 26 Dec 2010
So, I had read about Beulah Annan and Belva Gaertner, the Chicago murderesses who were acquitted in 1924 and who inspired this story. It was actually a lot better than I expected it to be... but, mind you, my expectations were pretty damned low.
It actually would have been really good without the whole, you know, singing and dancing part. ;).
