Review of Chicago (1927) by Patryk C — 25 Jul 2012
With spectacular sing-and-dance acts, marvelous 20's feel, and its relation to a heating crime wave of those times, Chicago comes as an energetic and refreshing adaptation of the famous Broadway musical.
All that jazz, perfect choreography, and great performance by Catherine Zeta-Jones mark it as one of the most achieved 'crime-related musicals' in history. The songs will stay in your head for a long time.
This Oscar worthy entertainment also features a saddening truth about our relation to celebrities and willingness to stay on top no matter what.
