Review of Chicago (1927) by Ben T — 16 Aug 2014
Chicago is a well made film with good acting, direction, song and dance numbers and cinematography but to be honest in my opinion this is a very overrated film and possibly the most undeserving movie of the best picture oscar in the academy's history.
That's not to say it's all bad but yeah if it wasn't for the amazing song they had it coming this probably would have been a 2.5/5. I mean I have a feeling that the only reason this film won best picture was because of they had it coming because other than that this is a very mediocre, fairly boring movie with not a single like able character (except for John C.
Reily). B-.
