Review of Chi-Raq (2015) by Lynne C — 23 Nov 2015
Disjointed would be kind. So unfortunate that a serious subject of murder in my hometown was so immaturely handled. The scene of a mother crying over her dead daughter wasn't believable and certainly didn't evoke the type of emotion that such a scene should elicit.
The objectification of women in the movie was immature. Withholding sex for peace could have been a by-line in the move but it appeared to be THE main topic. ridiculous. I can't imagine this movie having an effect on the real problems behind the homicide rate in Chicago.
