Review of Cherry Tree Lane (2010) by James C — 16 Jun 2010
I give two stars grudgingly, on the basis that Paul Andrew Williams is, technically, a good film maker.
I'd give zero politically. Cherry Tree Lane seems to think it has something to say about contemporary society. It's really the most inexcusable species of torture porn. Where I was intrigued by The Killer Inside Me, touched by Irreversible, thrilled and overwhelmed by Antichrist, I am simply sickened by Cherry Tree Lane.
