Review of Cherry Tree Lane (2010) by Joshua H — 18 Nov 2010
British home invasion horror/thriller that make Funny Games looks like Home Alone. The story is a gang of hoods break into upper-class couple's home who's son has falling into the wrong crowd. Unknownst to the couple, their son is a failed G and has broken the first cardinal rules of the streets: NO SNITCHING TO THE FUZZ. So it's only proper the break into his house and teach him a lesson.
This movie is superbly acted, directed, and well scripted. It's very realistic, darkly funny, and very unsettling. VERDICT: SOLID.
