This movie and I have a weird relationship. It does have the problems you may have heard about elsewhere. overly grim, with unlikeable characters, and with poor storytelling But even some of these characteristics can improve it in a strange way that I can't even begin to explain.

It seems as though this is the only way to tell the story because we are actually inside the protagonist's head. Throughout the course of the narrative, we both see and experience what he does. Meaning that we will experience a range of emotions, including happiness, pain, perplexity, and grief.
