Review of Cherry 2000 (1987) by Randy T — 11 Feb 2009
I caught this in the wee hours of the morning a year or so back. It was just kind of on, and I didn't have any real expectations for it. Boy, was I surprised. This is a funny, cheesy sci-fi B movie in glorious velveeta.
The concept of a guy hiring a bounty hunter chick to help him find parts for his robot sex doll and traveling into a Road Warrior post-apocalyptic landscape to do it sounds ludicrous on paper, and plays out even more so on the screen.
Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed in going out and renting this one.
