Review of Chernobyl Diaries (2012) by Dan H — 08 May 2013

NOT SCARY! The first 15 minutes or so are ok, but once the plot starts rolling and shit gets real the film becomes nothing more that one big long chase sequence. There is some tension in a few parts, but there is absolutely zero pay off.

Also, all of the characters in this film are assholes. The film also wants to create a conspiracy behind Chernobyl but it never fully fleshes it out. Chernobyl Diaries is a film that did have potential, but due to lazy film making it becomes a tedious, boring, and uninteresting chore.

At least it's got a pretty cool setting.
