Review of Chernobyl Diaries (2012) by Doctor S — 31 Mar 2013
Very intriguing setting for a modern horror movie, and while there are a couple scares the "less is more" approach taken soon becomes a liability. Furthermore the pervasive darkness wouldn't allow us to see the scary things that they aren't showing anyway.
The gold mine that is the radioactivity threat of their location is largely wasted to a few glimpses at and crackles from a Geiger counter. Just say 'nyet' to this one.
