Review of Chéri (2009) by Martin O — 09 May 2009
Not quite what I expected but better. A sumptuous film with amazing costumes, fantastic sets, a great score and the voiceover is a really good addition to the film. Michelle Pfeiffer is stunning as always and the random transvestite is extremely random! Hard to work out why she is so in love with Rupert Friend's Cheri though, as he seems to have no redeeming features and not much of a personality either.
A great film though.
