The costumes, scenery, and style of the movie was nice but the script seemed too short for one thing, and I didn't care for any of the main characters that much. I couldn't understand why it was that Lea cared so much for a very stoic, lazy, boring, selfish, bratty/childish person; there was nothing redeeming about Cheri so why should I feel bad for him? He is more of a villain than a romantic hero.
The ending was very abrupt...and I didn't really care what happened to Cheri. In addition I hated the fact that the film treated Cheri's wife Edmee like she was a decoration.
