Review of Chennai Express (2013) by Surajit Kumar M — 17 Aug 2013
This is a bit different from the regular Rohit Shetty movies where the Hero is always super powerful...but the comedy is intact...the 1st half is hilarious and have good comic scene...the 2nd half is more serious but not bad. Deepika is the heart of the movie, she has done a fabulous job and looks very beautiful in the traditional south indian attires...The 2 songs are good and Lungi Dance is the best...all the people in the theater were on their seats until the Lungi Dance song is over.
This movie obviously collected so much as this is something which can be seen with the whole family. The blasted flying cars will not be missed in this Rohit Shetty movie too. The only thing annoying for most of the people who doesn't understand Tamil is the amount of Tamil dialog without subtitles. If there were English subtitles for the Tamil dialog, it would have been more entertaining. But again, the next scenes after that where Deepika/Sardar makes SRK understand the situations would not be good. Overall a good film though not the best.
