Review of Chef (2014) by Sarah P — 11 Dec 2014
If I was stuck inside the house due to horrible weather, this would be the movie to watch. I actually just saw this movie under the same circumstances. On this very rare occasion in California where there is enough rain to flood and enough wind to knock out power.
Lucky the power came back on after three hours. So what should we do? We watch a movie. Now I suggest you eat before you watch this movie, because it is food porn. I was like oh yea, use that sauce, talk dirty to me Chef Casper.
Besides the a amazing camera work on the food, this movie was clever, light, funny, and perfectly casted. The jokes were perfectly timed and delightfully sarcastic. It is my feel good movie of the year.
The relationship between the son and father is so heart warming the movie can't help but make you smile the whole time. I highly recommend the movie for food lovers and for people that want to feel a bunch of warm fuzzy's.
I would say it is a family movie, but there is a lot of questionable language.
