Jon Faverau's "Chef" has some original elements but also a lot of predictable ones. It isn't a bad movie by any mean but there's just nothing too special about it. It has a heartwarming father son bonding story and somewhat critiques how social media can be a good and a bad thing.

It also is about doing what you love and what makes you happy. All of the messages are positive and the movie's heart is in the right place and for that it is worth a watch.
