I think that Jon Favreau is almost at his best when he's telling charming stories like this, as I've always had the impression that he has a very sweet view of family and the way people create their own with their friends and other loved ones.

The film is a lot of fun and very upbeat, though I wouldn't want to watch it on an empty stomach, as everything they cook looks amazing and leaves you craving *something*.
