"Chef" frames a father-son story with beautiful shots of food. Funny, engaging and joyful, it doesn't add anything to the "rock bottom man reaches goal" trope, but instead focuses on relationships.
Great acting, clever writing and food porn for the ages, this movie lets the hero win, and it tastes good.
