To be honest, Chef feels a bit overlong and familiar. Fortunately, the film redeems itself with its talented cast, a refreshing back-to-basics outing for director and star Jon Favreau following all those big-budget movies he previously did, a fine mix of humour and sweetness and best of all, an amazing number of mouth-watering meals making this movie a tasty time at the movies even if at times Twitter takes over (watch the movie, you'll see what I mean).
