Review of Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) by Hannah K — 03 Feb 2013
This in-name only remake of the 1950 comedy starring Clifton Webb is a far departure from the source material... and is all the better for it.
Shawn Levy's film doesn't offer anything that we haven't seen before (the piece gets increasingly sappy as it goes along and the outcome is predictable), but in an era of American movies where excessive violence and profanity is the norm, it's nice to sit down and watch a funny, feelgood family film that proudly wears its G-rating on its sleeve.
