Review of Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005) by Jordan W — 01 Jan 2010
Very ordinary in its humor, Cheaper by the Dozen 2 does not help the plight of the remake. While it is predictable it is not devoid of humor. There are some funny spots. There are some glimpses of how good this cast could be.
The problem is that when you remake an older movie you are betting on disaster. When you make a sequel to an OK remake you are betting that the film will not only tank but leave a bad taste in the mouth of the viewers.
This remake sequel is no different. Again there are some funny moments but they are few and far between. It comes down to a slap-stick romp where the only highlight is Levy and Martin. Rent if you liked the first one but don't expect a lot.
