Review of Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005) by Jenna G — 23 Apr 2010
Not as good as the first one. But still overall quite funny and enjoyable. Piper Perabo is many months pregnant. Hilary Duff just graduated from college and going to high school. Tom Welling is working hard to pay off the school fees.
Steve Martin is feeling the kids are all grown up and less time as a family, suggested they go to the camp for their good old fun. There, they have Eugene Levy as the old friend/nemesis, they are their neighbour and owns most part of the place.
Eugene have 8 kids, all proper and smart and a new young wife Carmen Electra. Steve's most mischievious kid Alyson Stoner has a crush on Eugene's kid Taylor Lautner. As usual, the kids created torubles along this trip.
First the firecrackers exploded and blows up a boat on the dinner night. When Eugene invited them over for brunch, Steve instructed Alyson to set the meatball trap and their dog cause a big mess. Alyson stole a makeup kit and was caught.
Both their sons wreck havoc with the golf cart. The 2 dads wage war for the labor day cup. Steve is losing popluarity with the kids. Bonnie enlighten him and he gives in. Alyson get the green light to go for a movie date with Taylor but the 2 fathers were there to spy.
In the end both of them bicker on and embarass the kids. On the cup day, only the twins follow Steve. The kids was chasing after the rat and smash the wall and found all their childhood stuff hidden there.
They remember the good times with Steve and all turn up to join the cup. Both family were tie and the last item is to row the boat with all members. Steve concede defeat because Piper is not suitable but she got game on.
Halfway through, her water broke and they call for help but Eugene ignores them. His star child Jaime King is the first to jump boat and the rest follow. Upon reaching the hospital, Hilary follow into the labour room because they gonna make her god-ma.
Tom & Jaime make their own plans known to the 2 dads and they accepted it. Piper give birth to a baby boy. Big happy ending.
