Incredible! This film provides a brilliant historical narrative of the enigmatic and controversial Dr. Ernesto "Che" Guevara as well as the disputation regarding the Cuban revolution, as brought to light at Che's 1964 address to the United Nations.

Benicio Del Toro gives arguable the most sincere and realistic minimalist performance of his career. In part one of Steven Soderbergh's duo, we find Che Guevara as doctor who finds himself unwittingly cast in a leadership role while being thrust into dire circumstances, agreeing to follow the charismatic Fidel Castro after being convinced that the revolution will later spread to the rest of Latin America - obviously focused on bringing freedom to his fellow Argentinians and longing to be reunited with his family in Mexico.

I am looking forward with great anticipation to the second part in what has so far been a fantastic journey into the heart and soul of Dr. Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
