Stands out refreshingly from most biopics in that it does not have their overwrought romanticism. Instead, Steven Soderbergh takes a naturalistic, impersonal approach to the material. This technique makes the film seem like a historical document, as if someone took a camera and simply followed Che Guevara around.

At the same time, this movie has a very traditional score. There is even an old-fashioned overture at the beginning of the film. This makes for an interesting contrast to the film's unconventional structure.

All in all, this is a truly unique biopic. Can't wait to watch "Part Two.".
