Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Guillaume D — 07 Mar 2010
Interesting. I found this one (part one) a bit more interesting than the second one. I suppose this is a movie that Che and Castro would like, and I haven't looked too much into Che to know enough about the negative stuff (executions, etc.
). But I do know that they sure did get a few things wrong. Anyway, this is a neat movie about the life of an insurgent revolutionary. Lots of boring down-time: waiting, resting, talking with civilians, etc.
A more exciting film could have been made, but then that would have been less accurate. Another thing that struck me as odd was that, considering that both parts together are over four and a half hours, is that there are deleted scenes for both parts.
Those deleted scenes must be some of the worst scenes ever filmed if they couldn't be worked into a four and a half hour movies.
