Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Gosho D — 17 Apr 2011
A great movie although it does miss out some historical events it is still a beautiful and fascinating film. Contains some very good performances from most of the cast including Benicio Del Toro. Captures the essence of Guerilla warfare and Cuba during the revolution very well.
Shows how Che Guevara handled problems and portrayed him very well. Surprisingly all the actors look just like their characters, apart from Benicio Del Toro, but if you look at Camilo Cienfugos in the movie and see a photo of him its slightly creepy.
I do feel that it could of showed more of Che Guevara's back story, flashbacks maybe? The scenes jumping to him in the US are sometimes boring and can also be confusing. I think this is a good movie which keeps the audience entertained for the most part and delivers an interesting account of Che Guevara during the Cuban Revoultion and afterwards.
