Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Edgar C — 27 May 2011
Solid depiction of an idealist and enigmatic revolutionary personage of the 20th Century. Part One works perfectly as a follow up to Diarios de Motocicleta. Del Toro makes the performance of his life thanks to Soderbergh's (once again) experimental scope, the result being an addition to the Cannes Film Festival. Powerful, emotional and honest. We don't get honest and introspective cinema these days, especially from America.
84/100.
