Review of Chasing Sleep (2001) by Hae M — 31 Jul 2007
A disquieting little gem featuring great work from Daniels. Owes a bit to Eraserhead and Polanski's Repulsion. The single-location setting could be limiting, but writer/director Walker includes enough incident and some tremedously creepy hallucination scenes to maintain tension and interest.
I recommend this to anyone looking for a good creepy flick. Shows what a talented filmmaker can do with very little in terms of budget and resources.
