Review of Chasing Mavericks (2012) by David B — 31 Oct 2012
This movie was panned by the critics--but it is a wonderful film, with great surfing and ocean cinematography. Perhaps it's a film best understood by those who live near the surf. We liked the true story line, and thought the film really communicates the zen-like quality of surfing.
As Californian's , we enjoy the big screen shots of the Santa Cruz coast line. Good character development. Not a film for those with short attention spans, like the critics!
