Review of Chasing Amy (1997) by Justin O — 31 Oct 2012
I was pleasantly surprised. Not a great film by any means, but when you take into account how much I dislike Ben Affleck...it's a pretty good one. As almost any Kevin Smith film it's got great dialogue and some really funny moments, but it's only good from a writing standpoint.
The acting is pretty dismal during the dramatic scenes, and the actual directing is awkward and lazy as shit. Good screenplay, mediocre film.
