Review of Chase a Crooked Shadow (1958) by Neil O — 17 Jun 2010
A classic British thrillerthat resembles later Hammer's psychological thriller series (Paranoiac, Taste of Fear, ...) with a fair few twists and turns. Director Michael Anderson directs the film in a relatively straight forward manne and manages to build some good shock jump-shock scenes.
Well written and boasting solid production (though probably very little was actually filmed in Spain and the rear projection scenes are noticable) and some good acting all round and starring Richard Todd, Anne Baxter and Herbert Lom.
