The tele serial didn't want to give the social message of hopeless misfits becoming super heroes. If she had not been an 'angel', Drew Barrymore would have been tripped up and pushed around, and ragged, by five year old boys and girls, before being the star performer to the stage adaptation of 'the walrus and the carpenter'.
