Almost none of the ingredients in this film should work... early 2000's matrix inspired slomo, cheesy spy plot, 'girl power' trio of over powered mary sue characters.... the list goes on AND YET it works.
The cast are exceptionally talented here and it is a silly amount of fun to watch. Looks fantastic in 4k HDR also. Is it a masterpiece of cinema? Quite possibly.... And so Charlie's Angels serves as proof that the magic of cinema is a real and tangible thing.
