Review of Charlie Wilson's War (2007) by Tierah H — 07 Apr 2010
Highly underrated and well worth the hour and a half to watch. The acting is perfect, from all the main actors. Tom Hanks is one of my favourites, he can convey so much without saying a word. The director did a very good job, and it seemed to be very factual and little embellished.
It was a good story and a good ending, even though it made me regretful. The US army did so much to help the Afghan people and then, in the words of Charlie Wilson, 'fucked up the end game.' I have to wonder now, if they hadn't said 'nobody cares about a school in [afghanistan]', then maybe there wouldn't be a war there now, against the US.
