Honestly, if it were not for the star power of Zac Efron this romantic drama would be a tough sell. Its one tragedy after another, a real downer. I could see this having appeal as a mother / daughter movie, or possibly girls night out.
The film relies on close-ups of Efron's emotional reactions, which he does do a good job of conveying, but altogether it is just plain boring.
